Dinner gone wrong

I only wish my plate looked like this one.

I tried to go easy and simple last night because I didn't feel like serious cooking.  I googled a slow cooker recipe for chicken and rice.  I shopped for ingredients, clean the chicken, diced up some onions, added soup, spices, put in all the the crock pot and went about my day.

Well......when it was time to eat.....yuck!!!! Double yuck!  What did I discover, never trust the reviews for a recipe found on the internet.  I am crying out that super good delicious chicken and rice recipe just like grandmom use to make.  Sure I can get one from my grandma but if I do the result will be her making it for me.  I love that option but I need to learn.

Who can save me from the slop that came out of the crock pot last night?  Please send me the best chicken and rice recipe you have cooked.

All lite up with purple

Purple fever has taken over Maryland!

The energy, spirit, happiness and support for Ravens is absolutely breathtaking to me and good for my soul.  The friendliness that I have seen in the past couple of weeks from and towards anyone wearing purple is a culture I wish we could maintain throughout the year.  The simple smiles or nods to and from Ravens fan should be an everyday way of life.

I have lite up my house with purple. Painted my nails and walls purple, worn purple, ate purple (not sure what it was), and started to bleed purple.  I wish I could attend the SuperBowl but I can't.  You better believe I will be tailgating from home showing my neighbors the way the Purple Pride burns in my soul.

As we gear up for Ray's last ride on Sunday, February 3rd a hint of bitter sweetness enters my heart. Some have said it was luck that got us there; I say it was good ball playing and the talent of the Baltimore Ravens.  I love that the Ravens are going to the SuperBowl but sadden that  I have seen  #52 doing "the dance" at M & T stadium for the last time.

Don't forget to attend the send off rally on Monday, January 28th at 11:30 at the Baltimore Inner Harbor Amphitheather.

LET'S GO RAVENS!!!!!

Up up we go!!!!

The real estate market is showing signs of improvement in Baltimore County. The gains look promising as we begin to consistently see signs of improvement in the real estate market.  Home prices are inching up and the days a house is on the market is declining.  We are looking an average change  of 8% in price and an amazing 23% in market activity.

It definitely appears that the interest of both buyers and sellers are on the rise.  Below is a general statistical comparison chart for Baltimore County.

If you'd like stats for your zip code/neighborhood or simply just want to know what your home is worth drop me an email and I will get the info right over to you, visit www.listwithjosette.com to see what your house is worth in today's market or visit me on facebook

HAFA updates

We are coming out of the housing crisis slowly BUT, it is not over yet.  In previous years homeowners who put their homes up for sale due financial hardship or life altering situation have opted to do so through foreclosure or short sales.

The option of short sale is likely to take part of  the Home Affordable Foreclosure Alternatives (HAFA) Program that assist eligible homeowners  to avoid foreclosure, specifically through short sales or deeds-in-lieu of foreclosure.
                                                                                                                 (click to watch video)

Previously there was a lot of redundant paperwork and longer time frames associated with the program as homeowners waited for a response from the bank.  As of February 1, 2013 some changes will be made.

The paperwork does not completely go away but there is some relief in submitting the request to the bank and getting a (hopefully positive) response.

Below is a comparison chart of changes:
